Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes for homemade pumpkin purée + 5 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp + more for garnish Kawartha Spice Co. Pumpkin Spice
- 1 c milk, dairy or vegan
- 1 c pumpkin purée, canned or homemade
- sugar, maple syrup, or honey, to taste
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup coffee, or 2 shots espresso
- whipped cream to garnish
Method:
Pumpkin Purée
Preheat oven to 350 F
- Cut pumpkin in half and scoop out seeds.
- Optional: lightly sprinkle with salt.
- Place cut side down on a parchment lined baking tray. Depending on the size of the pumpkin, bake until fork tender, approx. 45 min.
- Let cool, and peel off skin.
- Pulse in a food processor until smooth.
Latte
- In a small saucepan, heat milk until simmering, not letting it boil. Add pumpkin purée, vanilla extract, and Kawartha Spice Co. Pumpkin Spice.
- Add coffee to milk mixture.
- Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream, and garnish with Kawartha Spice Co. Pumpkin Spice.
